It’s no doubt that reading can enrich our knowledge。 We can’t speak without reading， we can’t write without reading。 I can’t imagine how life will be if we have no books to read。
If I don’t read books， I won’t know there are other countries besides China。 If I don’t read books， I won’t understand the earth is around。 If I don’t read books， I won’t see life is colourful。
I’m so lucky， because I’m living happily and peacefully。 Today， I can read when I’m dull。 I also can read whenever I’m happy or sad。 I’m very grateful we have books。 And I’m excited the Reading Festival is hold in our school。 What I want to say is reading is as important as breathing。 Frankly speaking， the unfair is full of our life， but reading is fair to everybody。 How much you read， how much you will get。
Reading books is very helpful in our daily life。 Knowledge is strength。Books are our good teachers and friendsas well。 Reading books increases our listening and speaking skills， the ability to form and use more complex sentences。It can also make us understand words and ideas， and develop positive attitudes towards reading。 what‘s more， research shows that teenages who read often have higher IQs， and are more creative。 they do better in school， and get high-paid jobs。
Many years ago， before cable television， videos， video games， and the internet appear- reading was main way for us to learn。 The students always spent hours reading books， imaging and learning。 Now unfortunately we have lost the skills to read and the passion to read。 My fellow students， reading is our most important task now， we can’t give up reading。 Let’s help each other to learn how to read， let’s read together。 Come on!
